Navi Mumbai News: Teen Electrocuted While Filming Instagram Reel On Train Roof Near Nerul, Critically Injured With 60% Burns
The boy, identified as Arav Srivastava, a resident of Belapur, suffered 60% burns along with severe head injuries and facial fractures. He along with his three friends were on the train.

A 16-year-old boy was critically injured after coming in contact with an overhead electric wire while attempting to shoot a social media reel atop a stationary train near Nerul railway station on Sunday afternoon. The boy, identified as Arav Srivastava, a resident of Belapur, suffered 60 percent burns along with severe head injuries and facial fractures. He along with his three friends were on the train.
A doctor from Terna Hospital, informed the police about the youth getting electrocuted. Video of the boy being assisted by police has become viral.

According to officials, Arav had climbed onto a garbage transport train parked near Nerul station to shoot a video for social media. While filming, he accidentally touched an overhead high-voltage wire, resulting in a massive electric shock. The force of the shock caused him to fall off the train.
“He was initially rushed to a nearby hospital in Nerul and later shifted to the Airoli Burns Hospital for specialised treatment. Doctors at the hospital stated that the boy’s condition is critical but stable, and that he will soon undergo surgery. He remains under close medical observation,” senior police inspector Kiran Undre from Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP), said.
Vashi Railway Police have registered the incident and are investigating.
