Navi Mumbai News: MNS's Deputy City President, Associates Booked For Assaulting Police Constable Over Traffic Dispute Near Gandhi Garden In Airoli
Navi Mumbai MNS's Deputy City President Nilesh Bankhele and 10 to 15 of his associates allegedly assaulted a police constable from the Navi Mumbai Police Force over a minor traffic dispute. Rabale Police have registered a case against Bankhele and his accomplices and have launched a search operation to locate them.

Navi Mumbai: Navi Mumbai MNS's Deputy City President Nilesh Bankhele and 10 to 15 of his associates allegedly assaulted a police constable from the Navi Mumbai Police Force over a minor traffic dispute. Rabale Police have registered a case against Bankhele and his accomplices and have launched a search operation to locate them.
The victim, Sagar Bhosale (35), is posted as a police constable at the Navi Mumbai Police Headquarters and resides in Airoli with his family. On the night of July 13, around 11 p.m., Bhosale was returning home via the area near Gandhi Garden when the incident occurred.
A four-wheeler approaching from the opposite direction asked Bhosale to reverse his vehicle due to limited road space, and the driver allegedly used foul language while doing so. Bhosale responded by asking the driver to speak respectfully without using abusive language.
Enraged by this, the driver stopped the car and began hurling verbal abuses. At that moment, Nilesh Bankhele, along with 10 to 15 associates, arrived at the spot and allegedly pulled Bhosale out of his vehicle and brutally assaulted him. As a result, Bhosale sustained serious injuries to his face, eyes, nose, and ribs.
Bhosale managed to call the police helpline (112), after which a police team rushed to the scene, but by then, the assailants had fled. After receiving medical treatment at a hospital, Bhosale lodged a formal complaint at Rabale Police Station on Monday night.

Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against Bankhele and his associates under relevant sections, including assault and rioting. Senior Police Inspector Balkrishna Sawant confirmed the registration of the case and stated that no arrests have been made yet. He added that identification of the accused is underway through CCTV footage.
