Navi Mumbai News: Medicover Hospitals Launches Advanced Women & Child Wing With Level III NICU

The facility was unveiled during an Open House Visit on June 30, giving visitors a first-hand look at the hospital’s comprehensive infrastructure designed to support mothers and newborns through every stage — from pregnancy to recovery.

Navi Mumbai: Medicover Hospitals, Navi Mumbai, has launched its state-of-the-art Women and Child Wing, featuring a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The facility was unveiled during an Open House Visit on June 30, giving visitors a first-hand look at the hospital’s comprehensive infrastructure designed to support mothers and newborns through every stage — from pregnancy to recovery.
Equipped with advanced technology and round-the-clock critical care support, the new wing is aimed at delivering seamless antenatal to postnatal care under one roof. The Level III NICU is specially designed for premature and critically ill newborns, offering specialized monitoring, ventilation, and life-saving support systems.
“During complicated pregnancies or premature births, timely intervention is often life-saving. Our NICU ensures that babies receive expert, continuous care in a secure and technologically advanced environment,” said Dr. Kalpana Gupta, Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
Dr. Anuranjita Pallavi, Consultant Gynecologist & Infertility Specialist, added, “The NICU is not only equipped with cutting-edge technology, but also operated by a dedicated team of neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, and specially trained nurses. It’s this combination of clinical excellence and compassion that sets the facility apart.”
The wing also emphasizes family-centered care, providing emotional and educational support to parents during challenging times. “We believe informed parents are empowered parents. That’s why we involve them at every step of their child’s care journey,” shared Dr. Tanmesh Kumar Sahu, Consultant Neonatologist and NICU In-Charge.
