Flights from Navi Mumbai are set to launch in September, coinciding with Prime Minister Modi's birthday on the 17th. CIDCO and government officials are also working to start flights on Independence Day, August 15.

Navi Mumbai: The anticipated launch date for flights flying out of Navi Mumbai is scheduled for September. The Adani Group, responsible for constructing the airport, has informed the state's Public Undertakings Committee as mandated.
Hence, it is mentioned that the Adani Group and the state government plan to launch flights from Navi Mumbai to honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday on September 17. CIDCO and government officials were collaborating to initiate flights from Navi Mumbai in honor of Independence Day on August 15 according to several reports.

At the project presentation to the Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) comprising state MLAs at the airport site for a review of the Navi Mumbai airport project, the timeline for the commencement of flights from Navi Mumbai has now been established for September.
Up to 13,000 employees are engaged at the construction location of the Navi Mumbai airport terminal. Consequently, it has been observed that the Adani Group and the central government opted to launch international flights concurrently instead of just running domestic flights.

Prior to the Muhurat, flights were planned to depart from Navi Mumbai in May and June 2025. Nonetheless, because the terminal work was unfinished, the Muhurat was scheduled for August 15. The Adani Group notified the Public Undertakings Committee review meeting that the terminal project will be permitted to be completed by at least September 15.
Nine crore tourists are hosted each year. The total capacity of Navi Mumbai International Airport will reach 90 million passengers and 3.02 million tonnes of cargo each year. The first phase can accommodate two crore passengers and eight lakh tonnes of cargo, comprising a Code-E runway, two parallel taxiways, T-1 terminal, a cargo terminal, and multiple supporting facilities.
