Navi Mumbai Crime News: APMC Police Arrest 2 For Attempting To Sell ₹4 Lakh Worth Of Narcotics In Market Premises
Acting on a tip-off about two men planning to sell drugs in the parking area opposite a slum near Punit Corner in the APMC Market, a police team laid a trap on Friday afternoon. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Ajay Shinde, with Assistant Police Inspector Amit Shelar and his team leading the action.

Navi Mumbai: Two individuals who arrived at the APMC market premises near Punit Corner to sell narcotic substances were arrested by the APMC Police on Friday afternoon. The accused have been identified as Dinesh Ramesh Salian (37) and Shivam Dayashankar Singh (26). Police seized narcotics worth approximately Rs 4 lakh, including MD (Mephedrone), charas, and hybrid ganja, along with their motorcycle.
The police are currently investigating the source of the seized narcotics.

"When the suspects arrived on a Pulsar motorcycle and exhibited suspicious behavior, the police apprehended them. Upon searching them, officers found 29 grams of MD (Mephedrone) worth Rs 3 lakh in Salian’s possession. Singh was found with 13 grams of hybrid ganja worth Rs 65,000 and 14 grams of charas worth Rs 28,000,” a police officer from APMC police station said.
During questioning, the duo gave evasive answers about the origin of the drugs. The police have seized the narcotics and their Pulsar motorcycle and have booked both men under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Both accused have been remanded to police custody until May 20 by the court and the further investigations are on.
