Navi Mumbai: 2 Killed In Separate Accidents, Including Food Delivery Agent And Car Driver
The first accident was reported at around 5.30 am on Wednesday in Kalamboli on Sion-Panvel road, wherein a car carrying five passengers, traveling towards Panvel, rammed ontoa stationary trailer. The second accident, a food delivery agent was run over in a hit and run case by a speeding truck at CBD Belapur.

Navi Mumbai: In two separate accidents, two have died in Navi Mumbai which included a food delivery agent and a car driver. The first accident was reported at around 5.30 am on Wednesday in Kalamboli on Sion-Panvel road, wherein a car carrying five passengers, traveling towards Panvel, rammed ontoa stationary trailer.
According to police, the trailer was illegally parked about 300 meters from the Kamothe toll junction. The deceased was identified as Akash Ganpata Mada (26), who was driving the car.
The four others in the car who were friends of the deceased, identified as Hariprasad Ganpat Shetty (26), Anurag Chaudhary (24), Rohan Chaudhary (24), and Harshid Jha (21), received minor injuries. A case against the trailer driver was registered under sections with the Kalamboli police.
Meanwhile in the second accident, a food delivery agent was run over in a hit and run case by a speeding truck at CBD Belapur. The victim, identified as Ghanvarppu Shivprasad (44), was mowed down at around 8:00 PM on Wednesday near petrol pump besides Apollo Hospital.
A case against the truck driver was registered by CBD Belapur police. “The truck driver fled the scene and provided no help to the accident victim. We are trying to trace the accused and the truck,” a police officer from CBD Belapur police station said.
