Mumbai: According to latest weather report, on July 13, Mumbai and its surrounding areas are expected to have predominantly overcast skies with light to moderate showers as a result of the ongoing monsoon season.
Significant to intense rainfall is anticipated in low-lying regions like Dadar, Andheri, and Kurla. The IMD predicts that intense rainfall will continue along the Konkan coast, especially impacting Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, until mid-July.
Mumbai Weather Today
Temperatures are predicted to vary from 25°C to 32°C, accompanied by elevated humidity levels (80-90%), leading to a warm and muggy environment. Winds are expected to be moderate to strong (14-30 km/hr) from the southwest, with possible cyclonic winds in some regions due to monsoonal effects.
Tide & Rain Prediction
Tidal circumstances are scheduled from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm (roughly 3.8-4.2 meters), followed by an outgoing tide from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm (approximately 2.0-2.3 meters).
Intense rainfall occurring alongside high tides may result in greater water pooling in low-lying regions, affecting the drainage infrastructure and leading to possible traffic delays. Air quality will typically be satisfactory, although those with respiratory conditions might experience some discomfort outside.
Transport infrastructure might experience interruptions from waterlogging and rain, requiring careful travel and prompt updates. Farmers must implement measures to protect their crops from harm caused by moist weather.
Weather Prediction in Konkan
The Konkan coast has experienced a brief relief following intense rainfall, with light to moderate precipitation expected all day, especially in Sion, Dadar, Bandra, and Chembur, where rain could be more intense. Regions such as Thane, Navi Mumbai, and Palghar are anticipated to experience overcast skies and potential light rain. A yellow alert has been issued, particularly for Ratnagiri, advising travelers in hilly areas to exercise caution because of heavy fog.
