Mumbai Tragedy: 28-Year-Old Scooterist Killed After Dumper Rams Into Him On Western Express Highway In Malad; Driver Absconding
A 28-year-old man, Ajay Gupta, died in a road accident on the Western Express Highway in Malad East on Friday. Gupta, a resident at Jogeshwari West, was riding his scooter on the southbound stretch near the Times of India building when a dumper truck rammed into him from behind, causing him to fall and die on the spot.

Mumbai: A 28-year-old man, Ajay Gupta, died in a road accident on the Western Express Highway in Malad East on Friday. Gupta, a resident at Jogeshwari West, was riding his scooter on the southbound stretch near the Times of India building when a dumper truck rammed into him from behind, causing him to fall and die on the spot.
The dumper driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The Kurar police registered a case against the driver on June 13.

Police are currently searching for the absconding driver and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify him. A case has been registered under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
