Mumbai: According to the latest weather report by India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is anticipated to receive heavy rainfall as Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg districts that lay under Konkan region have been issued orange alert.

The weather forecast for Mumbai on June 27 indicated generally cloudy skies with heavy rainfall while the temperatures lie between a minimum and maximum of 24 degrees Celsius and 30 degree Celsius, respectively.
As of 9 am, Mumbai is experiencing light rain with a temperature of 28°C and a precipitation level of 60%. The humidity is at 85%, and wind speeds are around 26 km/h. Scattered thunderstorms are predicted from Thursday to Friday, with temperatures between 28° to 29°C and lows around 27°C. Thundershowers are expected on Sunday, with additional thunderstorm occurrences. Rain showers will return next Friday.
Maharashtra Weather Forecast
As per weather forecast by IMD, Konkan, Nashik and Pune region are under Orange alert, anticipated to experience heavy rainfall while rest of Maharashtra is under yellow alert anticipated to experience moderate rainfall today, June 27.

Mumbai has exceeded its average June rainfall, with Colaba receiving 548.2mm against a 542.3mm average, while Santacruz has 478.9mm, below its average of 537.1mm. Notable heavy rainfall days include 100.4mm on June 15-16 and 142.6mm on June 18-19. An orange alert is active for Mumbai, predicting heavy isolated rain and for Raigad as well. The city's seven lake water levels rose to 36%, the highest in three years. The Konkan and western Maharashtra regions received rain, while Vidarbha and Marathwada faced delays but started seeing heavy rain Thursday night, causing flooding and communication issues.
High Tide Alert Issued In Mumbai
The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning for Mumbaikars regarding rough seas due to high tides for three days, with waves expected to exceed 4.5 meters. Residents and tourists are advised to avoid beaches and the sea. The Disaster Management Department recommends avoiding coastal areas from June 26 to 28 due to the extremely rough sea conditions. Tide predictions include June 27 at 1:40 PM with 4.73 meters and June 28 at 2:26 PM with 4.64 meters.
