Mumbai: A partial house wall collapse in Mumbai's Bhandup West early Tuesday morning left three individuals injured, including two children. The incident occurred at Punjabi Chawl, located in Hanuman Nagar area, adjacent to a nullah and was reported to the authorities at approximately 7:01 am by the S Ward Control Room.

Details On The Injured
Three residents sustained injuries in the collapse and were immedately rushed to M.T. Agarwal Hospital in Mulund. Medical officers at the hospital identified the injured as 65-year-old Vanita Vishwas Sawant, five-year-old Yogesh Mashir Pal and nine-year-old Manisha Mashir Pal. All three were treated on an outpatient basis, and their condition is reported to be stable.
The BMC’s disaster management unit has confirmed that no fatalities occurred, and the structural damage was limited to the wall in question. Officials are now assessing the structural integrity of surrounding homes and are expected to take precautionary steps to prevent further incidents, particularly with the monsoon intensifying in Mumbai.
Further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the collapse. Meanwhile, civic officials have assured that necessary repairs and safety checks will be carried out in the area to safeguard other vulnerable structures.
Heavy Rains Predicted For Today
Mumbai was lashed with moderate to heavy rainfall on Monday, which continued overnight. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted more rains for today, along with cloudy skies. Temperatures for the city are expected to range between 27°C and 29°C.
