Mumbai Railway Accident: 25-Year-Old Dies After Being Hit By Express Train In Bhiwandi

According to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official, an unidentified man was crossing the tracks when he was struck by the Ajmer-Bangalore Express train, causing him to fall onto the tracks and sustain severe injuries.

A 25-year-old man died after being hit by an express train while crossing the railway tracks at Bhiwandi Road railway station on Tuesday. The incident occurred between Bhiwandi Road and Kharbao railway stations on Monday at 9:58 PM.

According to a Government Railway Police (GRP) official, an unidentified man was crossing the tracks when he was struck by the Ajmer-Bangalore Express train, causing him to fall onto the tracks and sustain severe injuries.

GRP officials rushed to the spot upon receiving information about the accident and took him to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Bhiwandi, where he was pronounced dead during treatment.

The officials stated that the man suffered serious head injuries, leading to profuse blood loss.

Kiran Undre, Senior Police Inspector from Dombivli GRP, said, "We have lodged an Accidental Death Report. We are trying to determine his identity, but so far, we have been unsuccessful. We have circulated his photos across police stations and railway stations to help identify him."

The GRP has appealed to citizens, including parents, family members, friends, and locals, to contact them if they have any information about the deceased.
