Mumbai News: Western Railway Suburban Services Disrupted After Tree Branch Falls On Overhead Wires Between Mahalaxmi And Lower Parel
Suburban train services on the Western Railway (WR) were disrupted on the evening of Wednesday due to tree branches falling onto the overhead electric (OHE) wires. Reportedly a piece of cloth was found hanging on the OHE between Churchgate and Marine Lines, while a tree branch had fallen onto the wires between Mahalaxmi and Lower Parel.

Mumbai: Suburban train services on the Western Railway (WR) were disrupted on the evening of Wednesday due to tree branches falling onto the overhead electric (OHE) wires.
Reportedly a piece of cloth was found hanging on the OHE between Churchgate and Marine Lines, while a tree branch had fallen onto the wires between Mahalaxmi and Lower Parel. As a result, Up and Down slow line services were halted at around 4:25 PM. However, both fast lines remained operational.
Upon receiving the information, the concerned officials promptly reached the affected locations. The Up slow line was restored by approximately 5:15 PM, and the Down slow line followed shortly after.

Despite the restoration, the cascading effect led to slow line services running behind schedule until late evening. Similarly, on the central line a few local services also experienced delays.
