Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of the Maharashtra Day Parade scheduled to be held on May 1 at Shivaji Park, Dadar. Several traffic regulations and road closures will be in effect from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM to ensure smooth proceedings and public safety during the event.
An X post shared by the Mumbai police on April 26 provided details about traffic diversions, parking zones, designated parking, and public instructions.
Road Closures and Diversions:
Keluskar Road South and North will be closed to all vehicles except invitees. S.K. Bole Road will operate as a one-way route from Siddhivinayak Junction to Portuguese Church Junction, while entry on Swatantraveer Savarkar Road between Siddhivinayak and Yes Bank Junction will be restricted.
The vehicles heading toward the Western Suburbs must divert via Siddhivinayak Junction, S.K. Bole Road, Portuguese Church, Gokhale Road, L.J. Road, and Raja Bade Chowk. Meanwhile, vehicles bound for South Mumbai from Yes Bank Junction should take Pandurang Naik Road, Raja Bade Chowk, L.J. Road, and Gokhale Road.

The parade will begin at Gate No. 5, Shivaji Park, proceed along Keluskar Road (North), pass C. Ramchandra Chowk, turn left onto Savarkar Road, and conclude at Naarli Baug.
Public Instructions:
Citizens without a car pass are requested to park at Kohinoor Parking Lots near Plaza Cinema, J.K. Sawant Road, Dadar (W).
Police personnel and signage will be stationed across the area to assist and guide commuters. The public is urged to cooperate and avoid the affected routes during the parade hours.
