Mumbai: In a tragic incident, a vehicle struck a young boy playing on the street in MMRDA Colony, Kanjurmarg, police reported on Wednesday. The child suffered significant injuries and is now undergoing care at Sion Hospital.
The shocking event was captured on security cameras that have been spreading online. The timestamp indicates that the event occurred in the evening on August 11 at approximately 4:43 PM.

The viral clip shared on social media depicts a boy playing beside the road while a grey Santro gradually turns on the narrow street, with the boy sitting and playing perilously close to the roadway. When the car finished its turn, the boy started to walk and entered the vehicle's path, forming a blind spot for the driver, resulting in the boy getting caught under the tire, prompting locals to swiftly assemble at the location.
The driver then reversed the vehicle, and the child was removed from underneath. According to various reports, he was rapidly taken to Sion hospital for care, where he is recovering from severe injuries.

A young boy in Bandra West suffered severe injuries after being hit by a car that was backing up while he played outside his home with his little brother. The event, which took place at approximately 12:30 PM, resulted in an FIR lodged against the driver by the boy’s father, initiating an inquiry by the Kherwadi Police.
The child sustained serious injuries to the head and hands and is receiving treatment in the hospital. The driver has been accused under applicable sections of the Indian Penal Code for careless and reckless driving. Additional inquiry is in progress to elucidate the occurrences.
