Mumbai News: Khidmat Hosts 16th Mass Marriage, Uniting Hindu And Muslim Couples In A Celebration Of Communal Harmony
This initiative of mass marriage for Hindu and Muslim marriage has been started by Mohsin Haider, former civic corporator and chairman of Khidmat organisation and Sufiyan Haider, working president of Mumbai Youth Congress and General Secretary of Khidmat.

Muslim organisation Khidmat hosted 16th mass marriage for Hindu and Muslim couples as an exemplary of unity, love and communal harmony in India. Various political, Bollywood and cricket personalities attended the mass marriage event to shower their blessings upon the 15 newly wed couples.
Andheri-based Khidmat, a Muslim social organisation, has been organising historic mass marriage for underprivileged couples for the last 16 years. This initiative of mass marriage for Hindu and Muslim marriage has been started by Mohsin Haider, former civic corporator and chairman of Khidmat organisation and Sufiyan Haider, working president of Mumbai Youth Congress and General Secretary of Khidmat.
Apart from 14 Muslim couples, one Hindu couple also tied the knot at this mass marriage event. The initiative aims to promote interfaith understanding, social cohesion, and empowerment of underprivileged couples. The event witnessed the union of mass marriage of the Hindu and Muslim couples from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their faith, caste, or creed.

To grace the occasion and promote interfaith religion, famous personalities including actor Raveena Tandon, cricketer Wasim Jaffer , choreographer Sushant Khatri, actor Imran khan and Khalid Siddique and Member of Parliament Varsha Gaikwad graced the occasion to promote interfaith religion and blessed the newly wed couples.
A large number of Muslim women and men in their traditional attire accompanied the couples in the temple to witness the cultural exchange of religion.
The ritual of pheras for Hindu wedding was held on Saturday at 12. 30 PM near Ram Mandir on N.S.Phadke Road in Andheri (W). Similarly, nikaah for Muslim couples was organised from 6pm to 10pm at the Grand HKB Lawn on SV Road in Jogeshwari (W).
