Mumbai News: 'Deva Bhau Bulldozer Chalao' BJP Supporters Place Poster Featuring Fadnavis & Yogi Outside AJL House In Bandra Amid National Herald Case

Mumbai: On Tuesday, posters were spotted outside AJL House in Bandra, Mumbai, featuring slogans that read "Deva Bhau Bulldozer Chalao," calling for the demolition of the AJL office. These posters displayed images of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Supporters of the BJP in Mumbai have demanded "bulldozer action" against properties associated with the National Herald case, following the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) chargesheet that implicates Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. BJP leader Vishwabandhu Rai showcased posters outside the Associated Journals Limited (AJL) office in Bandra, calling on Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to demolish relevant properties.

The poster, which included images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Fadnavis, and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, bore the slogan "Deva Bhau, Bulldozer Chalao." On Tuesday, the ED presented a chargesheet that lists Sonia and Rahul Gandhi as accused in the National Herald case. Congress leaders Sam Pitroda and Suman Dubey have also been mentioned in the chargesheet. The document was submitted in April and is currently under review by Special Judge Vishal Gogne, who will determine whether to take cognizance of the case. The following hearing is set for April 25.

The appearance of these posters follows the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filing a charge sheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, where they are accused of money laundering. It is important to note that the ED filed a charge sheet on Tuesday against Congress MPs Sonia and Rahul Gandhi regarding the National Herald money laundering case.

What Is The National Herald Case?

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleges that the Gandhi family, along with others, acquired Associated Journals Limited (AJL), the publisher of National Herald, for only Rs 50 lakh, substantially below its actual market value of Rs 2,000 crore. Following the charges against Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, widespread outrage erupted among Congress supporters, resulting in protests across various states, including outside the Congress headquarters in Delhi.

Prominent Congress figures, such as Sachin Pilot and Imran Pratapgarhi, participated in the demonstrations, labeling the charges as "political vendetta." In response, authorities heightened police presence around the Congress office in Delhi, setting up barricades to maintain order. The ED's chargesheet in the money laundering case names Sonia and Rahul Gandhi as principal accused, asserting that they conspired to misappropriate AJL's assets. It claims Young Indian, a private entity controlled by the Gandhis, obtained 99% of AJL's shares for a mere Rs 50 lakh, and highlights a contentious loan from Congress converted unlawfully into equity. A court is set to review the charges on April 25.
