Commuters can now book tickets for Mumbai Metro Line 3 through the ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) ticketing system. This service is now available on multiple apps, including EaseMyTrip, RedBus, OneTicket and more.

Mumbai Metro Line 3: Aqua Line Now Available On ONDC – Commuters Can Book Instant QR Tickets Via Multiple Apps | File Photo

Mumbai: The Mumbai Metro Line 3, also known as the Aqua Line, is now on the ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) platform, allowing commuters to book QR code-based tickets seamlessly through several apps. Passengers can now use EaseMyTrip, RedBus, OneTicket, Tummoc, Yatri – City Travel Guide, Highway Delite, and Miles & Kilometres (via Telegram) to buy tickets instantly.

The announcement was made by Mumbai Metro Line 3’s official handle on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. The update highlighted the ease of travel across Metro Lines 1, 2A, 3, and 7 with just a few taps using various partner platforms.

The Mumbai Metro Line 3 is also known as the Aqua Line and Mumbai’s first fully underground metro corridor in the city and on the other hand, the Line 1 runs along the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar route, while Line 2A is an elevated 18.6 km stretch from Dahisar East to Andheri West.

The Mumbai Metro Line 7, also known as the Red Line, is another elevated route spanning 16.5 km from Dahisar East to Andheri East. The integration with ONDC aims to simplify and unify metro travel across these key routes in the city.

Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 Introduces QR Code Ticketing

In a move to streamline fare collection and enhance commuter convenience, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) introduced QR code-based paper ticketing on Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1 on Wednesday. The new system was officially launched at Belapur Metro Station, representing a key step toward CIDCO’s vision of implementing a Common Mobility Solution across the region’s transit network.

The QR ticketing initiative was inaugurated by Shantanu Goel, Joint Managing Director of CIDCO, in the presence of senior officials, including Santosh Ombase, Superintending Engineer (Metro), CIDCO; Milind Raorane, General Manager (Operations & Maintenance), CIDCO; Harish Gupta, Executive Director, Maha Metro; along with other CIDCO representatives.
