Mumbai: This morning, Mumbai's busy and packed local trains halted unexpectedly as the Central Railways experienced a disruption. Local trains on the Central Line faced delays of a staggering 40-50 minutes, disrupting the daily journeys of lakhs of Mumbaikars.
Frustrated commuters initially reported the delays on social media, taking to Twitter to voice their dissatisfaction.
One of the commuters posted visual from Ambernath station where in the image we can see that the train that was supposed to arrive by 7:17 AM hadn't arrived even at 7:32 AM while the crowd angrily awaits the train.
Another X user expressed his frustration in the comment section of the post that he has been waiting at Thakurli station since 8:07 but the trains arrived at 8:45, facing around 40 minutes of delay.
An user commented that the 30 minute delay has become a daily nuisance for a month. He expressed his angst blaming lack of management for the commuters. He also tagged the official X account of Mumbai Railway @MumRail
Facing delays of as much as 50 minutes, numerous commuters had to rethink their travel arrangements, with several choosing different forms of transportation.
