Mumbai Crime: Unidentified Chain Snatcher Steals ₹40,000 Gold Chain From Woman Inside Vile Parle Residential Complex; Police Launch Manhunt
Chain snatchers have struck again in the city. A woman’s gold chain was snatched in broad daylight inside a residential complex in Vile Parle. The victim, Sushila Malap (55), a resident of Vile Parle, was walking inside the premises of Lakshmi Palace building on Malviya Road around 12:30 PM on Wednesday when the incident occurred.

Mumbai: Chain snatchers have struck again in the city. A woman’s gold chain was snatched in broad daylight inside a residential complex in Vile Parle.
The victim, Sushila Malap (55), a resident of Vile Parle, was walking inside the premises of Lakshmi Palace building on Malviya Road around 12:30 PM on Wednesday when the incident occurred.
An unidentified man entered the premises, pushed her from behind, and snatched an 8-gram gold chain worth around Rs 40,000 from her neck before fleeing the scene.
Following the incident, a case was registered at the Vile Parle Police Station. The incident, which happened in broad daylight, triggered panic among local women. Police said the accused was wearing a helmet and arrived on a two-wheeler. Officials are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the suspect.
