Mumbai: The 40-year-teacher from a Mahim school, who has been booked for sexually assaulting her 17-year-old student, claimed in her bail plea that their relationship was consensual, while pointing out that the teen even referred to her as his wife in their messages.
She had filed the plea earlier this week, which came up for hearing on Friday. Special POCSO judge Sabina Malik asked the investigating officer and the complainant to submit their replies on Monday, after which the arguments will begin.
In a complaint to the Dadar police, the teen alleged that the accused had been sexually assaulting her for a year. He claimed that she used to take him to five-star hotels and forcibly have sex with him after serving liquor.
The teacher contended that the boy was “madly in love with her” and that he wanted to have a tattoo of her name on his body. She added that he kept persuading her even when she decided to resign from the school.
The woman further argued that the boy's parents forced him to file the case and added that his mother already knew about their relationship as his phone and laptop were taken away so that he can't communicate with her.
She said that the complaint was filed only a few months before the boy was to turn 18-year-old. The action has been taken with an ulterior motive, which can be gathered from the teen's conduct, said the teacher.
She asserted that the family has suppressed many facts to put the onus on her, while underlining that the boy is mature enough to understand what was happening.
