Mumbai: The VP Road police have arrested a 29-year-old food delivery agent for allegedly sexually harassing a 28-year-old woman at her residence in Girgaon on March 21. The disturbing incident occurred when the woman answered her door to collect a food order she had placed through a delivery app.
The delivery agent dropped his pants and flashed her as soon as the woman opened the door, said reports quoting a police official. Shocked and distressed, the woman immediately informed her husband, who was present in the house. He rushed downstairs and confronted the delivery agent in the building lobby, where the man was waiting for the lift.
Victim's Husband Engaged In Scuffle With Delivery Agent
A scuffle ensued between the husband and the delivery agent, but the accused managed to escape after pushing the husband aside. Following the incident, the couple contacted the food delivery platform’s customer care to report the agent’s behaviour. While they were assured that strict action would be taken, the couple claimed no visible steps were initiated against the accused.
