According to police officials, the accused had uploaded the offensive content on his Instagram account, which quickly went viral and triggered public outrage.

Following multiple complaints, the Trombay Police initiated action and booked Mulla under relevant sections related to hurting religious sentiments. The investigation is ongoing.
