Mumbai Airport Receives Email Threat To Blow Up Terminal 2; USD 1 Million In Bitcoin Demanded
According to the police, the mail was sent to the feedback inbox of the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) at around 11 am on Thursday.

Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) received a threatening email on Thursday. The content stated, 'We will blast Terminal 2 within 48 hours unless one million dollars in Bitcoin is transferred to the specified address.' The investigation is currently underway.
Sender Demanded One Million Dollars In Bitcoin
According to the FIR filed, on Thursday at 11:06 a.m., MIAL received an email on their feedback.bom@aani.com email ID from quaidacasrol@gmail.com email ID. The content stated, 'We will blast Terminal 2 within 48 hours unless one million dollars in Bitcoin is transferred to the specified address (1GixaieWJoJuAqcEJc4hCNDi5gCcpGHJ2W). Another alert will be sent after 24 hours.'
An executive officer promptly informed all security authorities about the email. The security authorities traced the IP address to '209.85.161.50,' which appears to be from abroad.
Case Filed In The Matter
Dixit Gedam, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-8, stated, "The investigation is ongoing."
MIAL is managed by Adani Airport Holding Limited (AAHL), which assists passengers with their queries. Passengers can submit complaints to the company through feedback.bom@aani.com. Airport Authorities filed a case against an unidentified individual under sections 385 (putting person in fear of injury to commit extortion) and 505 (1) (b) (statement s made with intent to cause fear or alarm to the public or against the public tranquility) of the Indian Sonal Code at Sahara police station on Thursday.
