There is unrest in the Shiv Sena after Eknath Shinde and 39 rebels made an alliance with the Opposition BJP party. There is confusion among Shiv Sainiks because rebels are claiming that they are still in the Shiv Sena.
After the revolt, no one knows who will join the rebellion camp in future. It is the apprehension of party leadership that rebellions may get support from local level Shakha Pramukh and Vibag Pramukh. Hence, as a precautionary measure, the party has decided to take signed affidavits from MLAs, Corporator, Shakha Pramukh, Vibhag Pramukh and Deputy Vibhag Pramukh.
As per the information given by sources, the affidavit read, " I have full faith and confidence in the constitution of Shiv Sena. I have full faith in the thoughts and principles given by the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray. I have full confidence in the leadership of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and I am supporting his leadership. I ensure that I will try to follow purposes of party's constitution and reiterate that I have full faith on Uddhav Thackeray's leadership."
Pramod Shinde, Deputy Vibhag Pramukh, Anushakti Vidhan sabha constituency told FPJ, "What's wrong in taking affidavits. If have full faith on Shiv Sena and Uddhav Saheb, I will not hesitate to write it on affidavit and sign it. This newly formed government will not last longer. It will collapse. BJP wants to finish Shiv Sena but we will not let them to do. I express my full support to Party and Uddhav Saheb."
Two corporators on the condition of anonymity said, "Yes, copies of affidavits have come from Shiv Sena Bhavan into our Shakhas. All the Shakha Pramukhs and Deputy Vibhag Pramukhs, Vibhag Pramukhs will sign it. There may be any legal fight. Shiv Sena leadership may require for legal fight. We are with Uddhav Thackeray saheb and will remain in Shiv Sena."
However, rebellion MLA Dipak Kesarkar said to media, "Now affidavits are being taken from Shivsainiks. people can be tied with love and our love and respect is with late Balasaheb Thackeray. Asking to sign affidavit is like showing doubt on the party workers faith."
Similarly, MNS leader Sandip Deshpane said to media, "few years ago Shivsainiks had tied Shiv bandhan on thier hand. Now, they are seeking for affidavits. What If someone ask Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to give affidavit saying I will abide by the hindu thoughts given by Late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray then?"
