Mumbai: The Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board’s special cause committee has granted a final opportunity to 11 applicants to attend their eligibility hearing for transit tenement allocation on March 6, 2025.
The initial hearing, scheduled for February 27, 2025, saw no attendance despite prior notices being sent via registered post. Many notices were returned due to incomplete addresses, prompting officials to personally deliver them, but the applicants were unavailable. A public advertisement was later issued, urging them to attend.
Only one applicant collected the notice in person but failed to appear for the hearing. Given the necessity of identity verification and document validation, MHADA Vice President & CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal has directed the three-member committee, led by the Deputy Chief Engineer, to provide this final opportunity.
