Mumbai: In a significant political development, the prominent leader of the Shinde faction from Murud, Mangesh Dandekar, officially joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Tuesday at the party’s state headquarters in Mumbai. He was welcomed by NCP State President and Member of Parliament Sunil Tatkare, in the presence of a large gathering of supporters.
Expressing satisfaction over Dandekar’s return to his political roots, Tatkare stated that it was a moment of pride and reassurance for the party.
Accompanying Dandekar were several key figures, including Ajit Gurav, Chairman of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Society; Shinde faction leaders Nitin Pawar, Amit Kawale, Rakesh Masal; former Sarpanch of Shingre-Murud Hafiju Kable; former Sarpanch of Belwade Krishna Mhatre; Rakesh Chougule, Vilas Patil, Nilesh Padge, and Imtiaz Kadu. All were ceremoniously welcomed into the NCP with floral bouquets by the State President.
