Maharashtra News: Dreaded Gangster Shiva Shetty Arrested In Dindoshi After Looting ₹6 Crore In Latur And Nanded

Notorious gangster Shiva Shetty, who had been absconding after looting Rs 6 crore in cash in two cases in Latur and Nanded, has been arrested by Aarey police in Dindoshi. Shetty is a dreaded gangster and has more than 35 cases registered against him. His gang had spread terror in various parts of Maharashtra.

Mumbai: Notorious gangster Shiva Shetty, who had been absconding after looting Rs 6 crore in cash in two cases in Latur and Nanded, has been arrested by Aarey police in Dindoshi. Shetty is a dreaded gangster and has more than 35 cases registered against him. His gang had spread terror in various parts of Maharashtra.

According to the police, Shiva Shetty became active again after being released on bail in 2023. He looted a whopping Rs 6 crore in cash in two separate incidents in Latur and Nanded districts and also robbed a businessman’s house in Nanded.

Cases of theft and robbery were registered against him at Nanded Gaon Police Station and Kingaon Police Station in Latur. However, Shetty had managed to evade the police and remained at large. A joint team of Latur and Nanded police was searching for him.

Meanwhile, Aarey police received information that Shetty had come to the Dindoshi area. Accordingly, a police team laid a trap and arrested him. He has been handed over to the Nanded police for further investigation.

Originally from Mumbai, Shetty earlier worked as a set builder (installed sets) in Chitranagari (Film City). Later, he turned to crime. He has more than 35 cases registered against him in various police stations for theft, robbery, assault, extortion, and attempted murder across Maharashtra.

Action was taken against him under the MCOCA (Maharashtra control of organised crime act) in 2019. He was released on bail in 2023 and became active in criminal activities again, committing crimes with his accomplices in various parts of the state.
