Mumbai: Amid rising tensions between Mahayuti allies Shiv Sena and NCP over issues such as ministries, portfolios and guardian minister posts, Sena leader Ramdas Kadam has accused NCP workers of not supporting his son, Yogesh Kadam, in the Assembly elections.
“90% of NCP workers did not work for Yogesh Kadam in the assembly elections,” he claimed, adding that he intends to raise the issue with senior NCP leader Sunil Tatkare. This development has further fueled speculation about growing differences between the two parties within the Mahayuti alliance.
Kadam also alleged that Tatkare’s close associates in certain villages failed to support Yogesh Kadam during the elections. “There are no differences or dissatisfaction between us. I am sure Tatkare himself would never have such intentions. However, his workers – whether from Mandangad or Dapoli – almost 90% of them did not back Yogesh Kadam’s campaign. We experienced this firsthand during the elections. I will file a written complaint with Tatkare and hope he takes note of it,” Kadam stated.
Yogesh Kadam, currently serving as a Minister of State in Devendra Fadnavis’ cabinet, was elected as an MLA from the Dapoli constituency, a stronghold of the NCP.

Responding to Kadam’s allegations, Tatkare remarked, “If Ramdas Kadam brings his complaint to me, I will look into it. Since Dapoli, Khed, Mandangad, and Guhagar are part of my constituency, I ask him to send me a letter, and I will consider his concerns.”
