Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra: A tragic incident has shaken Ahilyanagar district, where a domestic quarrel turned into a devastating loss for one family. A father, following a fight with his wife, killed his four young children by throwing them into a well before taking his own life.

As per TV9 Bharatvarsh, The man, identified as Arun, went to the ashramshala where his children studied and picked them up under the pretence of taking them home. He seated his three daughters and one son, all aged between six and nine, on his motorbike and drove them towards Korhale village, near Shirdi, around 10 kilometres away.

Once at the well, Arun allegedly pushed the children in one by one before jumping in himself. Hours later, when neither the children nor Arun returned home, the family grew anxious and began searching. The police were alerted soon after.

Officers rushed to the spot and, with the help of locals, recovered the bodies from the well. All five were sent for post-mortem. Shockingly, when Arun’s body was pulled out, one of his hands and a leg were found tied with a rope. Authorities are investigating the circumstances and the sequence of events leading to the deaths.

The incident has left the community in grief, highlighting yet again how children often become the silent victims of conflicts between parents. What should have been the safety of a home and family ended in unimaginable tragedy.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
