Mumbai: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s proactive efforts have led to the approval of a new Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CiTiTI) in the Roha MIDC area of Raigad district. The center, to be established in collaboration with Tata Technologies, will be developed at a cost of Rs 105 crore and will train thousands of youth in advanced, industry-relevant skills, especially in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.

About The Center

This is the fourth such center to be approved in the last four months, following similar projects in Beed, Nanded, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, all spearheaded by Ajit Pawar. Tata Technologies has formally communicated its approval for the Raigad CiTiTI via a letter to the Deputy Chief Minister.

The cost of the Raigad CiTiTI will be shared, with Tata Technologies contributing Rs 89 crore and the remaining Rs 16 crore provided by the state government and district administration. The center is expected to provide high-quality technical training to around 3,000 youths every year, creating a skilled workforce for local industries and enhancing the region’s employment potential.

MP Sunil Tatkare and Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare expressed their gratitude to Deputy CM Ajit Pawar for securing the approval of the center, recognizing his decisive leadership and commitment to youth development.

For the first three years, Tata Technologies will bear the entire training cost. From the fourth year onwards, the expenses will be equally shared between Tata Technologies and the district administration.

The initiative is seen as a major step toward creating an industry-friendly ecosystem in Konkan. Local youth will now have access to world-class training and skill development opportunities in AI and other high-demand sectors, boosting prospects for both employment and entrepreneurship.
