Maharashtra: ACB Files Bribery Case Against Police Inspector And Constable For Allegedly Demanding ₹2 Lakh Bribe In Murbad
The Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered a bribery case against Police Inspector Manoj Kamath and Police Constable Sachin Udmale from the Murbad police station on Tuesday. A case was filed under sections 7, 7(A), and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Thane: The Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered a bribery case against Police Inspector Manoj Kamath and Police Constable Sachin Udmale from the Murbad police station on Tuesday.
The ACB sources said that, as per the press release, a woman had given a written complaint to the Murbad police station against the complainant's nephews. Kamath instructed Police Constable Sachin not to take any action against the complainant's nephew. Kamath told Sachin to help the complainant's nephew in a written complaint disposal filed by the woman and demanded Rs 2 lakh from the complainant.
"Sachin demanded money under the persuaded Kamath and showed his acceptance for the same. Hence, a bribery demand case was lodged against Kamath and Sachin at the Murbad police station," stated in the press release.
