Kalyan: 41-Year-Old Man, Brother Booked For Brandishing Licensed Gun While Dancing On 'Main Hoon Don' Song At Haldi Ceremony
The FIR further states that Chintama's brother Sharad Lokhande was seen displaying a steel pistol-like firearm to Sumit Bhoir, a quest at the ceremony.
An FIR has been lodged against Kalyan resident Chintaman Namdev Lokhande, and his brother Sharad Lokhande for brandishing guns at a haldi ceremony at Khadakpada Police Station on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday on the ground in front of Datt Temple, Umbarde Village, Kalyan (West).
According to FIR, On February 14, 2025, between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm, at the ground in front of Datt Temple, Umbarde Village, Kalyan (West), during the Haldi ceremony of Dipti Lokhande, Chintaman Namdev Lokhande (Age: 41) displayed his licensed firearm (revolver) in the air in a manner that posed a threat to the lives and safety of others. By doing so, he violated the terms of his firearm license and disobeyed the prohibition order while dancing to the song "Main hoon don".

Chintaman Lokhande has been booked under BNS Sections 25, 30, along with Section 125 of the Indian Arms Act and Sections 37(1), 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
The FIR further states that Chintama's brother Sharad Lokhande was seen displaying a steel pistol-like firearm to Sumit Bhoir, a quest at the ceremony.
After verification, the police found no record of any firearm license issued in the name of Sharad Lokhande.
A complaint was lodged against Sharad under BNS Sections 3, 25 and Sections 37(1), 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
