Independence Day 2025: ‘Spain Child Castellers’ Govinda Team Performs Traditional Human Pyramid At Siddhivinayak Temple

Mumbai: As part of the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the renowned 'Spain Child Castellers' Govinda team delivered a captivating traditional performance at Mumbai’s iconic Siddhivinayak Temple on Friday.

The performance was a visual treat for onlookers and devotees who had gathered at the temple to celebrate the national holiday. The team recreated the traditional Govinda-style human pyramid, which is a popular part of Janmashtami festivities in India, symbolising unity, coordination, and strength.

He also referenced Operation Sindoor as a strong response to terrorism. Thane’s celebrations included a special midnight flag-hoisting event, initiated by Guruvarya Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb, attended by Shiv Sena leaders and supporters.

A special highlight of the celebrations was the participation of Spanish Castellers, who formed a human tower in Thane as a tribute to the Indian flag. This unique performance symbolised a beautiful fusion of tradition, cultural exchange, and shared respect for national values and pride.
