IN PICS: Thane Municipal Commissioner Inspects Road, Drainage & Metro Work Ahead Of Monsoon

Mumbai: With the monsoon approaching, Thane Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao conducted an inspection of major infrastructure works across the city, including Ghodbunder Road, drainage systems, and ongoing metro construction. The initiative, led by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), aims to ensure smooth and safe travel for citizens during the rainy season.

During his visit, Rao reviewed the progress of the projects and issued a directive to complete all essential work by May 20. He emphasised that any remaining or incomplete works would be taken up only after the monsoon to avoid inconvenience to the public. His focus remains on maintaining smooth traffic flow and minimising waterlogging during the rains.

The TMC is actively working to provide a hassle-free commuting experience to Mumbaikars and Thane residents. Officials noted that the timely inspection and planned execution would help reduce seasonal disruptions.

An X post shared by the Thane Municipal Corporation stated, "Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao inspected the roads, drainage and metro works including Ghodbunder Road. He has directed to complete these works before May 20. The incomplete works will be completed after the monsoon. Priority will be given to keeping traffic smooth during the monsoon." With the post TMC also shared the images of the inspection done by the civic official.
