Govt To Ensure Effective Implementation Of ‘PM Janman’ And ‘ABHA’ Schemes For Tribal Upliftment: Tribal Development Minister Dr Ashok Uike

In a strong reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to tribal welfare, Tribal Development Minister Dr. Ashok Uike announced that both the central government's PM Janman scheme and Maharashtra’s ABHA scheme will be implemented effectively to bring the Katkari community and other tribal families into the mainstream. The announcement was made during the Adivasi Samvad Melava (Tribal Dialogue Meet) held in Khalapur, Raigad.

Dr. Uike assured that the government will ensure the coordinated execution of initiatives from 13 different departments under these schemes to accelerate tribal development. The event witnessed the presence of key political representatives including MLAs Mahesh Baldi and Prashant Thakur, alongside other dignitaries.

“ The central government is fully committed to the upliftment of tribal communities through strategic policies like PM Janman,” said Dr. Uike. He added that the Maharashtra state government,has launched the ABHA scheme with a comprehensive 100-day action plan, which is already in motion.

Prior to the public event, Minister Uike personally interacted with tribal residents across three talukas to assess the on-ground impact of these welfare schemes. Expressing satisfaction with the progress, he stated, “This journey is undoubtedly leading the tribal communities towards prosperity and self-reliance.”

The dialogue saw enthusiastic participation from tribal families, especially from the Katkari community, who gathered in large numbers to voice their views and engage with the government on future developmental goals.
