Good News For Mumbai Metro Travellers: 305 Daily Services, Faster Trains From July 16!
Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 announced that the number of daily services will increase from 284 to 305, with 21 additional peak-hour services added.

Mumbai: In a significant commuter-focused initiative, metro services will be increased from Wednesday to cater to the growing ridership demand. The Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation has announced that the number of daily services on Metro Lines 2A and 7 will rise from 284 to 305, with 21 additional peak-hour services added.
To support this expansion, three new trainsets are being deployed, and train headway will be reduced from 6 minutes 35 seconds to just 5 minutes 50 seconds. The announcement was made via an X post by the handle @MMMOCL_Official from the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd.

According to Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd (MMMOCL), the total ridership on Tuesday stood at 3,01,127, marking a historic achievement for the city’s urban transit system. Alongside the record-breaking ridership, the Metro also registered its highest-ever usage of WhatsApp ticketing, with 62,282 commuters opting for the eco-friendly digital method, highlighting a growing shift toward sustainable and efficient travel options.
Metro Lines 2A (Dahisar East to DN Nagar) and 7 (Dahisar East to Gundavali) have played a crucial role in easing road congestion and offering dependable, air-conditioned public transport to lakhs of daily travellers in Mumbai’s western suburbs.
