A fire broke out in an industrial unit on 90ft Road, Ganesh Nagar, near Laljipada Police Chowki in Kandivali West, on 17 August 2025 at 11:11 hrs, authorities confirmed. The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) reported that the blaze, which involved electric wiring, installations, and an electroplating machine, was confined to a small area measuring roughly 10 by 20 square feet.
The fire was swiftly brought under control and fully extinguished by 11:28 hrs, less than 20 minutes after it was reported. No injuries have been reported so far, and the incident appears to have caused only minor damage to the industrial premises.

Several agencies were mobilised to respond to the emergency, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, 108 ambulance services, the Public Works Department (PWD), Adani staff, and local ward personnel. Their coordinated efforts ensured that the fire did not spread to adjacent units in the industrial area.
