Central Railway Announces 3-Day Special Traffic & Power Block Between Lonavala & Malavali on April 6, 7 & 8
A road overbridge construction will be carried out during the block period, affecting several express trains.

Mumbai: Central Railway has announced a three-day special traffic and power block between Lonavala and Malavali, located near Pune. The block will be in effect on April 6, 7, and 8 (Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday). The announcement was made by Central Railway on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
The block is necessary for the installation of four steel nos for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB). In its X post, Central Railway has advised passengers to check train schedules and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
Special Traffic Block No. 1, On April 6:
On 06.04.2025 (Sunday), the block starts from 13.05 hrs to 16.05 hrs, check the Regulation of Mail and Exp trains:
- Train No. 22159 CSMT-Chennai Express will be regulated at Lonavala till 16.05 hrs.
- Train No. 17222 LTT-Kakinada express will be regulated at Karjat till 15.20 hrs.
- Train No. 22194 Gwalior-Daund Express will be regulated at Chauk for 10 minutes.
Short Termination / Origination of EMU trains:
- Train No. 99814 Pune-Lonavala EMU & Train No. 99816 Shivaji Nagar-Lonavala EMU will be short-terminated at Malavali.
- Train No. 99813 Lonavala-Pune EMU & Train No. 99815 Lonavala-Shivaji Nagar EMU will short originate from Malavali.

On 08.04.2025 (Tuesday) the block starts from 13.05 hrs to 15.05 hrs. Check the short terminated and orgination of EMU trains:
- Train No. 99816 Shivaji Nagar-Lonavala EMU will be short-terminated at Malavali.
- Train No. 99813 Lonavala-Pune EMU will short originate from Malavali.
The Central Railway also added in the post that these blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
