Mumbai: Following his appointment as the Chairperson of the Mumbai Municipal Election Management Committee by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), senior leader and former minister Nawab Malik wasted no time and chaired the very first meeting of the committee this evening at MIG Club, Bandra.

Focus on Winning at All Costs

With the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections in sight, NCP National President and Deputy Chief Minister Ajitdada Pawar, along with State President and MP Sunil Tatkare, entrusted the responsibility of Mumbai to Nawab Malik on Tuesday. Within just a day of his appointment, Malik swung into action, holding his first meeting to strategise on ensuring NCP’s victory in the civic polls under any circumstances.

Present at the meeting under Nawab Malik’s leadership were Mumbai Working Presidents Siddharth Kamble and Shivajirao Nalawade, MLA Sana Malik-Shaikh, former MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui, State General Secretary Santosh Dhuvali, State Vice President Bhaskar Vichare, State Spokesperson Sanjay Tatkare, as well as invited members South Mumbai District President Mahendra Panasare, North-West District President Ajay Vichare, North Mumbai District President Indrapal Singh, North-East Mumbai District President Suresh Bhalerao, Mumbai General Secretary Raju Ghughe, among others.
