Attention Thanekars! Traffic Police Issue Advisory For Dahihandi Utsav 2025 On August 16; Check Details

Thane: The Thane Traffic Police Sub-Division has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Dahihandi Utsav 2025 celebrations scheduled for August 16, 2025, at multiple locations across Thane city. Given the large crowds and incoming Govinda teams from Mumbai and Thane, traffic regulations will be enforced to ensure public safety and smooth movement.

The Dahihandi celebrations will take place at the following venues:

Tebhinaka Mitra Mandal

Tower Naka Anand Charitable Trust

Vyapari Mitra Mandal, Brahmin Sabha Hall, Station Road

Balgopal Mitra Mandal, Naralwala Chawl, Station Road

Due to the expected heavy footfall and large gatherings during the event, traffic movement in the area will be regulated between 07:00 AM and 11:00 PM on August 16.

Entry Closed

All types of vehicles going from G. P. O. to Thane Railway Station via Court Naka are being 'Entry Closed' at G. P. O.

Alternate Route

The said vehicles will take a right turn from Thane Central Jail via Kick Naka to Dadoji Konddev Stadium and then take a left turn from Dadoji Konddev Stadium to A One Furniture and proceed to the desired destination.

All types of vehicles going to Thane Railway Station via Kalwa and Saket are being 'Entry Closed' in front of Urjita Hotel.

Alternative Route

The vehicles will take a left turn via Creek Naka, turn right from Dadoji Konddev Stadium and go to the desired destination via A One Furniture.

Entry Closed

All types of buses, S. T. buses, as well as rickshaws and four-wheeled small vehicles coming from Thane Railway Station to Tower Naka Tembhi Naka are being 'Entry Closed' at Dr. Mus Chowk.

Alternative Route

All S. T. buses of transport coming from Thane Railway Station via Santis Bridge, all buses of T.M.T. will go to the desired destination via Gokhale Road from Santis Bridge. Also, rickshaws and four-wheeled small vehicles will take a left turn from under the Santis Bridge to Thane Station Road, Dr. Mus Chowk and go to the desired destination.

Exemptions:

Emergency vehicles, including police, fire brigade, ambulances, and other essential services, will be exempt from these traffic restrictions.

Citizens are requested to cooperate with the traffic authorities and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
