What Does Mr. India Shubham Sharma Eat In A Day
There are no shortcuts in Mr. India Supranational Shubham Sharma's life. He has the perfect body but his dedication to eating clean requires him to give up his favourite butter chicken. He eats in moderation and even skips his mother's parathas, as eating even one of them means adding a few extra hours in the gym. In a tête-à-tête with Anita Aikara, the model reveals his diet and workout routine.

Mr. India Shubham Sharma was extremely skinny during his college days. A gym video inspired him to bulk up, and that's when his workout journey officially began.
Shubham is deeply committed to his fitness, and he reveals that it took him four years to build his body. At first, he beefed up, then cut and right now his focus is to stay shredded.
"There are no shortcuts," he says adding that the trick to achieve an athletic built is being "disciplined and focused".
While many turn to food and retail therapy to destress, Shubham uses trekking as a way to "disconnect, reflect and stay grounded".
Shubham's mornings are dedicated to cardio, and evenings are kept for weight training. On Monday, he does chest-triceps-shoulders, Tuesdays are for back and biceps, Wednesday is about leg workouts, and this routine is repeated through the week.
Shubham's meals aren't fancy or complicated, but high on good carbs and proteins.
"For breakfast, I have four whole eggs and two egg whites, along with fruits like watermelon, pineapple and papaya.
"For lunch I need to have 200 gm protein (ideally chicken breast) and 200 gm carbs like rice, along with veggies." The proportions are the same for dinner and Shubham makes it a practice to eat after every two hours.
"I haven't touched butter chicken for a while," he reveals. "I avoid it even though that's my favourite dish to eat. If I do cheat and eat butter chicken, I have an extra 30-60 minute added into my workout routine," he says. "My other cheat meals include shawarma and sometimes waffles. I totally avoid soft drinks and energy drinks."
A foodie, Shubham does get tempted to eat out, but that's a strict no-no for him. "I completely avoid sugar."
He has immensely cut down on his consumption of carbohydrates, and only consumes good, healthy carbs like brown or red rice, millet, oats and pluses.
"The top three things I keep in mind while eating healthy is discipline, consistency and hard work. One has to give up the urge to eat the junk, especially when on a weight loss journey."
The 24-year-old model is a die-hard fan of Cristiano Ronaldo whose hardwork and dedication have pushed Shubham to excel in his life.
A national-level footballer, Shubham has turned his passion for the sport into a community service initiative with his project From The Ground Up that provides underprivileged children access to football and the necessary equipment to play the sport.
The project is very personal for Shubham as football has shaped him "mentally and physically". "Through football, I have learnt the importance of hardwork and discipline," says the model has been playing football for the last 10-15 years now.
Right in front of the gym where he works out is the Neville D'Souza Football Turf where Shubham played football. "Back then, I would see several celebrities walking in and out, I'd manifest that one day I'll work out in this gym. Post my Mr. India win, I got a chance to fulfil my manifestation."
Shubham's initiative Kickstarting Dreams is working towards helping underprivileged children from shelter homes and red-light areas who don't have the access for sports. "If even one child has the dream to play football, it will be a great achievement for me to be able to help support this dream."
"I come from a humble middle-class family and always had a dream to represent my country. I also prepared for the CDS exam (officer training exam). But I didn't clear it and after that I started my modelling career, and I won the Mr. India title in my first attempt. As for my future plans, I love storytelling and want to pursue acting."
