About Parshuram Jayanti 2025

Parshuram Jayanti is a significant Hindu festival celebrated in numerous states across the country. The festival is celebrated on the third day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaisakha (usually April-May). Parshuram means "Rama with the axe." He is known for his role in protecting Dharma (righteousness) and eliminating evil. According to the legends, Lord Parshuram is believed to have been born in Treta Yuga to Sage Jamadagni and Renuka.

According to Drik Panchang, the third day of the Shukla Paksha in the Vaishakh month will begin on Tuesday. Since Lord Parshuram was born during the Pradosh period, Parshuram Jayanti will be observed on April 29, 2025.

Rituals of Parshuram Jayanti 2025

On this auspicious day, devotees are encouraged to wake up early and take a bath before sunrise. Begin by cleaning your home with Ganga Jal (holy water) and place the idol or picture of Lord Parshuram on a sacred seat (asana). Offer flowers, turmeric, kumkum, and sandalwood to Lord Parshuram, and recite the Shri Parshuram Stotra. Finally, perform the aarti for Lord Parshuram by lighting the lamps.
