A seasoned Met Gala attendee, Isha turned heads at the 2025 edition by flawlessly interpreting this year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.

When it comes to the Met Gala, Isha Ambani is no stranger to making headlines and this year, she returned to fashion’s most-watched carpet with a look that blended timeless Indian artistry with contemporary elegance. A seasoned Met Gala attendee, Isha turned heads at the 2025 edition by flawlessly interpreting this year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
This year, the business heiress and fashion icon chose ace Indian designer Anamika Khanna to bring her vision to life. A breathtaking ensemble that took an astounding 20,000 hours of embroidery work. The couture look featured a regal ivory-hued floor-length overcoat with an expansive train, draped over a sculpted corset bustier and black tailored trousers. The overcoat shimmered with exquisite hand embroidery in tones of gold, ruby red, and emerald green, motifs inspired by royal heirlooms.
The bustier was no less detailed, showcasing pearl-studded cutwork with structured trousers that added a sleek contrast to the fluidity of her cape, creating a striking East-meets-West silhouette.
In her interview with Vogue India, Anamika Khanna shared the thoughtful inspiration behind the look: “We used a little bit of semi-precious stones, some traditional pearl work, and drew inspiration from Black dandy style—the small elements they incorporated, the reasons behind their choices.”

Isha Ambani's Met Gala 2025 look was elevated with dazzling diamond jewellery, including stacked rings and an eye-catching double-strand diamond necklace anchored by a pendant.
In a chat with jewellery influencer Julia Chafe, Isha revealed that much of her jewellery, including the necklace and a brooch on her trousers, came from her mother, Nita Ambani's personal collection.
The necklace, particularly, was inspired by the legendary 1931 Cartier Toussaint created for the Maharaja of Nawanagar, famously recreated for Anne Hathaway in Ocean’s 8.
She finished off her glam with her signature makeup and subtle nude lipstick, while her hair styled in a sleek ponytail with hair ornaments.
