Bollywood's beloved actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has been known for her disciplined lifestyle all her life. She was once the epitome of zero figure in the Bollywood Industry and at 44, continues to be iconic as ever. But after becoming a mother to two boys, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor significantly changed her approach towards fitness, lifestyle and career. From starring in five to six movies annualy, Kareena now chooses scripts that have more depth and does only one or two films in a year.
In a recent interaction with a magazine, Kareena shared how her approach towards life, career and fitness has changed. She now prefers quality over quantity. “It’s not about quantity anymore. It’s about choosing the right roles, ones that challenge me and excite me,” she says. “I want to preserve my energy, my talent, myself.” No chaos, no performative busy-ness, no need to prove anything to anyone," she said.
Kareena on her changed lifestyle
The Buckingham Murders actress shared how she likes slow mornings. The luxury of slow mornings is something she absolutely possessive about. Mornings are her new luxury. “The first hour of my day? That’s mine,” she said.
She also shared the changes she has adapted to and made it her lifestyle. She does not participate in late night parties anymore and said that her friends understand this because she now has dinner by 6:00 om and goes to bed at 9:30 pm. Kareena follows this routine so that she wakes up early to get done with the workout before the world wakes up.
She values her personal time more than her red carpet appearances. She shared how her happy place is being home with her husband, Saif and her kids. “We love cooking together as a family-Saif, the kids, me-we’re all in the kitchen,” she says. Food brings her happiness and she unapologetically devours home-cooked, healthy food that she often cooks with her family. From wood-fired Pizza to lip-smacking Malabar style stew, Kareena's inner child is happy with good food on her table.
