Yuvan' 2024-25: Youth Festival Begins At DAVV Indore With Enthusiasm & Talent Showcase

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The three-day state-level youth festival, titled 'Yuvan' 2024-25, got an inspiring start at UTD Campus of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) on Monday. The festival commenced with a rally taken out by the participating students of all 12 universities across the state. Nearly 800 students are participating in this fest to showcase their talent in 22 different disciplines. The youth fest was inaugurated at the university auditorium with enthusiasm, excitement and zeal. Describing the youth as the future of India, water resources minister Tulsiram Silawat, who was chief guest for the inaugural function, said, “India has the ability to lead the world and its power is the youth. In the times to come, the youth will have to come forward for India to lead again at the global level.The responsibility of making India a developed country lies with the youth.”

“Since the youth count on teachers to show the path forward, the latter also have a huge responsibility to guide them in a way that they can lead from the front for their country,” he said. “Along with education, culture and art should also be promoted which is the responsibility of all of us. Yuva Utsav is a confluence of youth power, energy intimacy and talent,” he concluded. The competitions also started on Monday. “On the first day, group dance competition, on-the-spot painting competition, western singing competition, classical dance competition and rangoli competition were held,” dean, student welfare, Dr LK Tripathi said.

Vice-chancellor Prof Rakesh Singhai said that Yuva Utsav provides a platform to the talents, where they are polished and handed over to the state. These youths become partners in the construction of India. He said that those who have established themselves in student life never lag behind in life. Singer Kalpana Jhokarkar said that the new generation will bring glory to the state and the country on the basis of its talent.

DAVV registrar Dr Ajay Verma said that Yuva Utsav is a big platform from where talented people like Ashutosh Rana and Kapil Sharma have emerged. Executive council member Vaishali Waikar said that youth is both the strength and identity of India.
