Union Minister Giriraj Singh Visits Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple & Participates In Bhasma Aarti (WATCH)
Speaking to the media, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said he visited the temple after five years.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Giriraj Singh visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday morning. He also participated in the Bhasma Aarti and sought blessings from Baba Mahakal (Lord Shiva).
Speaking to the media, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said he visited the temple after five years. He believed that Lord Mahadev was the supreme deity of the world.
He also praised PM Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav.

Special ritual 'Bhasma Aarti'
Notably, Bhasma Aarti is performed between 3:30 and 5:30 in the morning, and ash is offered to Mahakal. It is believed that whoever participates in Aarti, their devotees will be fulfilled.
In Bhasma Aarti, the doors of Mahakal Temple are opened in special Muhurta known as Brahma Muhurta. Following this, Baba Mahakal was offered Panchamrit and adorned with cannabis and sandalwood.
