Ujjain Police Crush 105 Illegal Bike Silencers Worth ₹12 Lakh In Crackdown On Noise Pollution
During a special drive, police confiscated silencers from premium motorcycles that produced loud, gunshot-like sounds, disturbing commuters.

Bhopal/Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Ujjain police seized and destroyed 105 high-decibel silencers and hooters using a road roller at Tower Chowk on Thursday. Additional SP Nitesh Bhargav personally operated the roller, crushing the illegal silencers to curb public nuisance.
During a special drive, police confiscated silencers from premium motorcycles that produced loud, gunshot-like sounds, disturbing commuters. These silencers, priced between ₹15,000 and ₹80,000, amounted to a total of ₹12 lakh.
According to information, ASP Bhargav stated that these silencers were seized from reckless bikers over the past three months. The police had issued ₹1,000 challans to violators and replaced their modified silencers with standard ones at police stations.
Bikers in Ujjain had been modifying their motorcycles to produce loud noises, creating chaos on city roads. The police warned that similar actions would continue to maintain peace and discipline in the city.
