Indore (Madhya Pradesh): . One of the women was divorced, while the other’s divorce case was ongoing.
In the first incident, the deceased, identified as Reshma (40), daughter of Ayub Sheikh, a resident of Firdaus Nagar, hanged herself under Azad Nagar police station limits.
She was married about 20 years ago and got divorced three years ago. Reshma had been living alone in a rented room near her maternal family home and worked at a flour mill.
On Sunday night, she allegedly hanged herself. When the room remained locked for a long time, the landlord informed her family who broke the door open and found Reshma hanging.
Friend finds woman hanging in her room
In the second incident, the deceased, identified as Sonu (27), wife of Suresh, a resident of Brahmbagh Colony, hanged herself under Sadar Bazar police station limits. Her family members said that she lived with her father.
On Sunday evening, a friend came to visit her and found Sonu hanging in her room.
Sonu was married around eight years ago and her divorce case had been ongoing for the past three years.
She was employed at a private company. No suicide note was found from her place. The exact reason for the suicide remains unclear.
