Swachh Survekshan 2024: Indore Gears Up For Super Swachh League; Surprise Ward Inspection, 800 TDP Waste Treatment Plant & Geo-Tagging Of Municipal Staff

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The countdown for Swachhta Survey 2024 has begun. The central government has released a new toolkit, under which 'Super Swachh League' is being organised. As many as 12 cities of the country will compete with each other.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, on Friday, called a meeting of officers in the Smart City Office regarding the preparations of the cleanliness survey. The mayor said that geo-tagging of employees is being done to keep a check on their location.
Surprise inspections will be conducted across the wards in Indore.
Best-performing corporators will be honoured.
550 TPD waste treatment plant is being converted into 800 TPD.
A special cleanliness exam will be organised for the students.
Cleanliness will be monitored twice a day—morning and evening.

Cities that were declared as winners in their respective categories in the past two years will compete with each other in the 'Super Swachh League.'
Navi Mumbai, Indore, and Surat, with a population of more than 10 lakh, and the winning cities with less population: Ambikapur of Chhattisgarh, Patan, Tirupati of Andhra Pradesh, New Delhi Municipal Council of Delhi, Vita and Saswad of Maharashtra, and Panchgani will take part in this league.
Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said, "The countdown for the survey has begun. We are ready to make the city number one for the eighth time. This test is not only of the corporation but also of the Indoreans. It's their cooperation that helps keep Indore 'Swachh.'.
