Prime Accused Arrested In Nagpur After MP Police Bust ₹20 Lakh Counterfeit Currency Racket In Indore
The accused have managed to circulate counterfeit currency notes with face value of Rs 20 lakh in Indore, Mumbai and other cities so far. So far, six people of the gang have been arrested and further investigations are underway into the case.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two more accused including the prime accused, Manpreet Sing Virk were arrested from Nagpur for printing counterfeit currency notes and circulating them in the market through their aides, police said on Tuesday. The accused have managed to circulate counterfeit currency notes with face value of Rs 20 lakh in Indore, Mumbai and other cities so far. So far, six people of the gang have been arrested and further investigations are underway into the case.
ACP (Vijay Nagar) Aditya Patle said that acting on a tip-off, Shubham alias Pushpanshu Rajak was arrested from near Dewas Naka area with 46 counterfeit currency notes on January 20. He was roaming in the area allegedly circulating the notes. He toldthat the notes were given by Mahipal Beda of Nasrullaganj in Sehore district.
During interrogation, Mahipal said that the notes were sent by Manpreet from Nagpur and he had bought these counterfeit currency notes with face value of Rs 20 lakh. Later, the police arrested Anurag Chouhan of Nasrullaganj and Mohsin Khan of Khajrana area of the city for buying some notes from Mahipal. Recently, the police team led by Lasudia police station in charge Taresh Kumar Soni arrested prime accused Manpreet Singh Virk from his place in Nagpur. Following the lead given by Manpreet Singh, his aide Malkeet Singh Virk from his place in Nagpur.
Notes printed in rented flat in Nagpur
Manpreet allegedly informed the police that he and Malkeet used to print the counterfeit notes in a rented flat in Nagpur with the help of laser printers, lamination machines etc. They used to print the notes of 500 and 200 denominations. Three laser printers, 2 lamination machines, 85 A4 size papers with printed notes, a watermark white ink used in printing the notes and a laptop were recovered from the house of Malkeet Singh and the accused are being questioned further.
